A new year, a new E3 (that’s Electronic Entertainment Exhibition in case you don’t know, in such case, get the hell out of my e-space), and a new round of rumors, speculations and expectations. Here is the list of the things I am waiting for/suspecting/hoping to be in this year’s E3.
Please note that for multiplatform games, the PC is my platform of choice.
The Mighty PC:
- Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 are announced for the PC.
- Duke Nukem Forever lives!
- Half-Life 2: Episode 3 news. It’s about time, Valve!!! Also, how about Portal 2?!!!
- Mafia II, Bioshock 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, StarCraft II, Assassin’s Creed II, Rage, Doom 4, Alan Wake, Max Payne 3, The Saboteur, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield: Heroes, Splinter Cell: Conviction news/gameplay/release date.
- Modern Warfare 2 gameplay and details.
- Resident Evil 5 PC and Street Fighter IV PC details and release date, including system requirements!
- GTAIV DLC comes to the PC.
- Dead Space 2?
- Mass Effect 2. (Still have to play the first though)
- Aliens vs Predator reboot. Oh… The memories!
- Crysis 2. I mean, come on... I want to know what happened after the cliffhanger ending! But I don't want something that will tell me that my PC is crap.
PS3:
- Price cut.
- Price cut.
- Oh, a price cut!
- Kojima’s next game (Whatever the hell it is!)
- Team ICO’s next game. (see previous post)
- God of War III. (Zeus… Your days are numbered!)
- Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer.
- The new rumored slim PS3.

Xbox 360:
- Price cut.

- Bayonetta... Just watch the new E3 trailer. It's Devil May Cry but with a chick and more bad-ass moves.
Wii:
- No More Heroes 2 and Red Steel 2
- Funny conference!

As for the PC games, there is really nothing there that can be labeled Rumor, or speculation except Halo3, and Gears 2. all the others are confirmed games.
On the PS 3 sure.
but for some reason you say nothing on the 360's sharade of rumors, and expectations, espcially that MS have been saying that it will "blow gamers minds this year". you try to hide it, but you keep hating on the 360 for some strange reason, no problem with loving the PS 3, just don't hate the player.
The fanboy claims have started...
I asked you to tell me what your speculations were.
Anyway, MS has nothing to catch my eye, unless they pull a really great one in this E3. If you look at Jostiq's expectations here (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/25/microsofts-e3-09-conference-lets-play-bingo/). You will see that the only thing that I care about and is not on the PC is Halo 3:ODST. I really don't care about motion-sensing whether it's on the Xbox 360 or the PS3. I like the good old controller. Period.
But looking back at the page, I think that I have missed Crackdown 2, even though I have, obviously, not played the original. But with the recent attention inFAMOUS and Prototype are getting, I think it may be worthwhile.
Now, can you tell me what are you expecting from this year's MS presentation? Don't tell me more Netflix integration, please!

And as for the MGS4 X360 port, if Kojima is not doing it, then I have no interest in it.
By the way, if they don't announce the port in this year's E3, I don't think they ever will, especially with a new game (?) coming soon.
I added Crackdown 2 and another game to the PC. I think we may see it, given that the developer has been showing the engine for some time now.
I am not "claiming" that you are a Sony fan boy just for the fun of it.
When you list about 10 new things for the PS3, and 2 for the 360. then i am pretty sure that there is no question here. I am in no position to "expect" anything, i am buy a mere consumer, and not even for the 360, sure i would love to have one. but i can't speculate what news will be announced. and listing already announced games is not a Speculation. we will just have to wait and see in the next few days. if the stuff on the joystik site some true, i will be more than happy
It depends how you define speculations. I mean with it that I am speculating that we will hear new stuff about this game. The important stuff, of course, like gameplay or release dates.
For example, HL2:E3 was announced years ago, in 2006 when E1 was released, but we haven't seen anything from Valve about this game since then. So, I am speculating that we will hear new stuff about it this year.
Chill man, and speculate... It's free you know.
As for the fanboy claims... Sony has the games that I am interested in this year. Is it their fault? Again, I say that unless MS pulls something really major, they have nothing to attract me for the X360. The opposite is true for the PC. When they announce new stuff about Splinter Cell, or Mass Effect, I am getting the announced goodies on the PC, and this is a MS platform too, you know. So everyone wins.
